Possible rain during cold Las Vegas GP: '50 to 60 per cent chance'
Are you going to the Las Vegas Grand Prix? Don't forget to pack a poncho. In fact, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, there is a chance it could rain.
As the race weekend approaches, we also find out more about the conditions the race will be in. Pirelli already had fears that the cold would have a big impact on the tyres. Temperatures of around seven degrees Celsius are expected.
Jenn Varian, meteorologist in Las Vegas, already brings some perspective. "We might have some rain. The trend is for a better chance of rain. It’s not a guarantee."
Rain gear advised
The National Weather Service in Vegas says on X that there is a 50-60% chance of precipitation towards next weekend. Most of the stands in the city are not covered, which is why the Review-Journal is tipping people to go out prepared and bring their rain gear.
An incoming system will bring increased chances of above normal precipitation to the region late next week, including a 50-60% chance of above normal precipitation for the Las Vegas area. #NVwx #VegasWeather pic.twitter.com/e09LgWC3VZ
