It is perhaps the Grand Prix that is drawing most of the attention: The Las Vegas Grand Prix. The circuit is not going to call its paddock a 'paddock' because of a tragic event that took place in 2017, Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
A shooting took place at the Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on 1 October 2017. Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd of more than 20,000 concertgoers. This took the lives of 60 people, and about 870 concertgoers were injured. The incident is the deadliest mass shooting by a lone gunman in US history.

Paddock is a word used worldwide to denote the place where all of the equipment in Formula 1 is located. This word will be different in Las Vegas because of it being sensitive in the community. The Formula 1 teams also park the trucks here. The building is currently under scaffolding, but when finished, it will be 300,000 square metres.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix, held in the middle of the strip, is one of three races to be held in the United States this season. The Miami Grand Prix has already been completed in 2023, and the United States Grand Prix in Texas is also on the horizon.
