Verstappen complains about update in Spain: 'Can I have that other wing'
Max Verstappen is not yet happy with the balance of the RB20 in Barcelona. The Dutchman complained of a loose rear end, understeer during the second free practice and Verstappen would like a new wing.
Ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing was seen as the favourite. A normal track again had to bring out the RB20's strengths. For now, that is not quite the case. Over board radio, Verstappen is dissatisfied with the car's balance.
Verstappen revealed over the radio that he was not entirely satisfied with the balance of his car. The rear felt a bit loose and the Dutchman also revealed he was suffering from understeer. "The car is loose in the exits in general. Still just weird understeer mid corner. This car doesn't bite."
Verstappen was then called to the pits, whereupon Verstappen reported that his rear end was still bothering him. In doing so, Verstappen asked for the other wing. Red Bull Racing came to Spain this weekend with a new rear wing and beam wing. For now, Verstappen does not seem very happy with the team's update.
