Lewis hamilton tribute to Daniel ricciardo but found the shoey nasty

Hamilton shares heartfelt tribute to Ricciardo: 'But that was gross'

Lewis Hamilton has made a heartfelt tribute to Daniel Ricciardo after the Australian driver was forced out of his seat at Visa Cash App RB. Hamilton and Ricciardo have been competitors for many years, especially when Ricciardo was winning races for Red Bull Racing. However, Hamilton has shared some support for the 35-year-old but joked about his famous 'shoey' celebration.

Lewis Hamilton had already commented on Ricciardo's Instagram post, but thought it was necessary to make a separate post on his own profile. "It's been an honour to compete with you over the years. I'll never forget the battles, the laughs, and drinking out of your shoe. It was gross but glad I got to do it with you bud," Hamilton said.

"You leave a legacy of always being yourself, which in this sport is never easy. You've taken it all with the biggest smile and I salute you for it. There is so much more for you up ahead and I can't wait to see what you do next. Always here for you, man," Hamilton concluded.

What will Ricciardo do next?

It is still unclear what Ricciardo's future looks like. Helmut Marko, Red Bull's advisor, previously said he did not expect Ricciardo to be active in another racing class. Meanwhile, Red Bull has offered Ricciardo to become an ambassador for the team.
