Brown argues that this season is 'better' than 2021 battle Verstappen/Hamilton

Zak Brown is delighted that McLaren is the new constructors' championship leader in Formula 1. The American is thoroughly enjoying the successes as well as the competitiveness of motorsport's premier class. He calls it a better season than the exciting championship battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in 2021.
The 52-year-old top executive became executive director of the McLaren Technology Group in 2016, before becoming the CEO of McLaren Racing for two years. Brown tells The Associated Press about the current year: " I think this is the best season I can think of ever in Formula 1 since I’ve been here."
This means Brown is claiming it's better than 2021. Max Verstappen took his first world title after an exciting battle with Lewis Hamilton that ended on the last lap of the season finale in Abu Dhabi. "That was mega exciting, but it’s just two guys, two good guys. Now you’ve got four good teams in today’s race," Brown said.
Four top teams in Formula 1
As of now, his strong suspicion is that every Grand Prix could go either way. "To have four teams that can win any weekend, and (Sergio) Perez was obviously back on form today, eight drivers going into Singapore and we’re going ‘I don’t know which of these four teams might win. I don’t know which of these eight drivers might win,’ I can’t recall Formula 1 having that level of competitiveness."
