Thanks in part to Netflix's Drive to Survive series, Guenther Steiner was one of the most popular members of the Formula 1 paddock. But Steiner did not return as a competitor after the winter break as Haas didn't renew his contract as Team Principal. But that's not the last the F1 world has seen of Steiner.

What is Steiner doing now, after his exit from Haas?

Haas made the announcement in January. They replaced Steiner with Ayao Komatsu, and so far, things have improved at the American team. They have often took chances when some of the faster teams have made mistakes. Nico Hulkenberg sits 11th in the World Championship after scoring 22 points in the first 14 races. This puts him just two points behind Lance Stroll at the 2024 summer break.

The former boss has been able to watch this success from the paddock. Steiner signed a contract with German F1 television broadcaster RTL in February. He is one of the special commentators for the TV channel and attends some Grands Prix during the season. He has also been selected as one of the 'on the grid' interviewers who speak to the top three drivers immediately after the Grand Prix.
