The drivers' F1 World Championship standings after the Belgian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton made major ground in the F1 World Championship after finishing first in the Belgian Grand Prix, as George Russell was later disqualified, because his car did not reach the minimum weight limit. At the top, Max Verstappen extended his lead over Lando Norris.

Verstappen is now on 277 points, an extended his lead over Lando Norris by another two points. The gap is now 78 points in the standings. Sergio Perez was originally overtaken by Russell in the standings and is now only eighth, but after the Briton's disqualification, the Mexican can keep P7.
