Verstappen is back on the same page with Lambiase: 'Everyone exaggerates'
Max Verstappen says he has had good conversations within the team. His bond with Gianpiero Lambiase has fully recovered, everyone is back on the same wavelength and, according to Verstappen, everyone has blown the situation out of proportion.
Max Verstappen experienced a disappointing Hungarian Grand Prix; internally, everything seemed to be on edge. During that weekend, Verstappen also said he felt that not everyone within the team was on the same wavelength. The Dutchman felt he was not always listened to. After qualifying in Belgium, Verstappen is more positive in that regard.
What Verstappen discussed with Lambiase
"Yes, I think so. Now is the break and we can analyse everything from race 1 to now. This is about the choices we made with the car. Hopefully then we can put everything together that is good and then that will be better for the day hopefully at Zandvoort," Verstappen said to the Dutch press, including GPblog, in Belgium.
Verstappen also said his relationship with Gianpiero Lambiase had fully recovered. "Yes, but everyone also exaggerates these things. It's quite easy for us to solve all that. That's not a problem," the Dutchman stated. "I think everyone always has disagreements, even in a relationship or with employees." So Max is not going to change: "No, I think it's just important that we've talked about it, what we all thought about it and how the season is going."
