McLaren react after having hospitality damage again
- GPblog.com
McLaren has another problem with its hospitality unit. In Spain, the team's hospitality was damaged by a fire, and in Hungary, it suffered damage again.
On Thursday morning, the weather in Budapest was severe. There were huge showers causing parts of the paddock to be flooded. There were also thunderstorms, which caused the roof of McLaren's hospitality to be destroyed.
It's double bad luck that it happened to McLaren again. The fire a few weeks ago had an impact on the team. It resulted in the hospitality not being able to take to Austria. As a result, the British team had to use a replacement hospitality during that weekend. At Silverstone, McLaren did have the facility available again.
McLaren responds to damaged hospitality
Following the new incident in Hungary, McLaren reported, "On Wednesday afternoon, during set-up for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the team was hit with an unexpected weather event which has impacted the McLaren Team Hub. The team are currently working to fix the damage and therefore unfortunately our Team Hub will not be open to any guests or media for the duration of the Hungarian GP." When the roof will be fully repaired again is still unknown.
