Adrian Newey drove Niki Lauda's Ferrari car (the Ferrari 312 T4) at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Saturday 13 July. The former top designer of Red Bull Racing is one of the much-discussed men in Formula 1 this season. The Briton also talked about how driving the car felt.

"Lovely. I mean, to be driving Niki’s old car, his championship-winning car, it's so special, it really is. I knew Niki quite well. So to be in here sitting in the same seat and just trying to think what he must have been experiencing and how he's prepared himself before the start and everything, really special," he told the Goodwood Festival of Speed livestream.

The 65-year-old man from Stratford-upon-Avon decided to leave Red Bull Racing. Several stories have circulated about the new destination. For instance, the Briton is said to have already held talks with Aston Martin, and he is said to be interested in Ferrari. A final choice has still not been made.
