Verstappen hopes to watch EURO final with Oranje

Verstappen, who regularly hangs out with Virgil van Dijk, says he will definitely be watching the match. Asked if he has any good advice for Oranje, the Red Bull Racing driver replied, "I always text with Virgil [Van Dijk] a bit here and there before or after a match. Honestly, I don't need to tell them anything. I mean, I think they know much better what or how they have to prepare and work themselves and with, of course."

The Dutchman obviously hopes the national team manages to reach the final. "I hope that Holland wins. I mean, it's simple, but hopefully it's just going to be a great game. Of course, it would be great to be in the final," he continued.

Then Hamilton turns to Verstappen. "I don't really know much Dutch. I only know: 'Hoe gaat het met jou?'," the Mercedes driver says in a perfect Dutch accent. "Is that good?", he asks the Dutchman, who confirmed: "Yes, it means how are you?"

"Oh, cool," continues Hamilton, who says he watched the quarter-final between England and Switzerland on a big stage on Saturday night along with teammate George Russell, in front of an audience of 20,000 people. "I think yesterday was a really good showing and I'm grateful that I had that experience with George," says the 39-year-old Briton.

"I think really just we all wished them the best. I think I'm sure they will want to play better and will know that they will know what they need to do. They will know that they will probably want to elevate their game and lots of learnings from every single game, just as like we have from every single race. So I will be with them and I'm sure everyone will be out in full force," he added.

Norris also feels it is not up to him to tell the England team what to do. "I just let them do their thing. I'm sure for anyone in any sport, as soon as you have people trying to tell you what to do, it's not a nice thing. I just wish them the best. Like Lewis said, I'm sure they always want to play well. I'm sure they always do their best and that kind of thing. The whole country is supporting them from the British side, the UK. We'll all be watching and wishing them the best.," the McLaren driver concluded.
