Jeremy Clarkson weighs in on crash between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen
Jeremy Clarkson has given his views on the crash between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen during the Austrian Grand Prix. The former Top Gear Presenter saw the two drivers 'bump together' on lap 64 of the Austrian Grand Prix.
On lap 64 of Sunday's race, a collision between the two championship leaders caused punctures for the pair of them. For Norris, it resulted in a DNF, whereas Verstappen recovered and finished in P5, extending his lead in the drivers' standings despite receiving a 10-second time penalty for causing a collision.
Clarkson disagrees with stewards and defends Verstappen
Clarkson was asked for his opinion on X, and the British TV presenter said: "I think they bumped into one another. These things happen in motor racing," suggesting that it should've been dealt with as a racing incident.

Earlier in the season, Clarkson posted a hot take on the crash between Sergio Perez and Kevin Magnussen in the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. He believed the Haas driver wasn't at fault for the crash, which went against many views within the paddock.
Clarkson is a major fan of Formula 1 and sometimes visits races. He was last present at the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix, where he waved the chequered flag and met up with his old friend Adrian Newey on the grid.
