Verstappen returns to 2021 car at Festival of Speed
Max Verstappen will attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the first time as a driver. Here, he will take part in the festivities surrounding Red Bull Racing 's 20th anniversary in Formula 1. The three-time world champion will take a seat at the festival in a special car for him.
This year marks Red Bull Racing's 20th season in Formula 1. Over the years, there have been many successes. For instance, the Austrian racing stable has managed to win the Constructors' Championship six times. In addition, Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen together have won seven world titles for Red Bull. The team has also won 120 races in 379 Grands Prix.
The anniversary will therefore be celebrated largely during the Festival of Speed. A number of former Red Bull drivers will also drive Red Bull cars. David Coulthard, Christian Klien and Mark Webber will all drive, as will Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez and even Christian Horner.
Verstappen to be reunited with RB16B
The organisers announced Verstappen's participation in a big way. The Goodwood site claims that the Dutchman's participation is one of the biggest moments in the Festival of Speed's history. What is extra special is that the triple world champion will drive the RB16B, the car in which he first became world champion in 2021. So it will be a great demonstration.
