Verstappen: 9

Max Verstappen drove a very solid weekend in Spain. The Dutchman narrowly missed out on pole position but was then faultless in the race, again leaving the competition behind with playful ease.

Norris: 8

Lando Norris started with a strong qualifying but threw it away at the start. Not only was he beaten by Verstappen at the first corner, he was also passed outside by Russell. A race he says he should have won but again fails because one person is simply better.

Hamilton: 8

Lewis Hamilton drove a good weekend in Barcelona. The Briton was strong in qualifying and had a poorer start, but drove a good race with some flawless overtaking.

Russell: 7

George Russell was beaten by his teammate in qualifying but started the race excellently with a great start. The overtaking was great, but the race that followed was less good for Russell. Especially in the duel with Norris, he asked way too much of his tyres, lost a lot of time and that eventually cost him the third place that went to his teammate.

Leclerc: 6

Charles Leclerc drove an okay weekend for Ferrari. Faster than his teammate in qualifying and the race, although the difference was minimal.

Sainz: 5

Carlos Sainz had probably hoped for more from his weekend in front of his own crowd. It was already not good enough in qualifying, and in the race, Sainz also lost ground. Especially in the duel with Hamilton, he allowed himself to be too easily outmanoeuvred, only to complain about race control.

Piastri: 4

A disappointing race weekend for Oscar Piastri who failed to clock a competitive time in qualifying. As a result, he was unable to help his teammate in the duel with Verstappen and also scores very few points.

Perez: 4

Perez got no further than eighth place in qualifying, more than six tenths behind his teammate. A painful difference, which meant Perez had to start a catch-up race and it did not go perfectly either.

Gasly: 7

A good weekend for Pierre Gasly, who has started to gain the upper hand in the duel since the collision with his teammate in Monaco.

Ocon: 6

Esteban Ocon drove to a much-needed point for Alpine in a tidy weekend for Alpine. He lost to his teammate but was not far off all weekend.

Hulkenberg: 6

Nico Hulkenberg was again the better of the two Haas drivers this weekend, but points did not result in Barcelona.

Alonso: 6

Not the weekend Fernando Alonso had hoped for with Aston Martin. The team seems to be falling further and further away in the middle of the pack, and there is little the Spaniard can do about that either.

Zhou: 6

A solid weekend for Zhou Guanyu, who was superior to Bottas, especially in the race.

Stroll: 5

Lance Stroll was far from his teammate in Barcelona in both qualifying and the race.

Ricciardo: 6

The Spanish Grand Prix was not Visa Cash App RB's weekend. Daniel Ricciardo could not escape the malaise either, although he did finish ahead of his teammate.

Bottas: 5

A colourless weekend for Valtteri Bottas, who even had his teammate ahead in the race.

Magnussen: 5

Kevin Magnussen was unable to make a breakthrough in Barcelona. The Dane did not come close to Hulkenberg.

Albon: 6

What exactly happened in Alexander Albon's spin is still unknown, but with that moment, the Thai still finished comfortably ahead of his teammate in a weekend that went dramatically for Williams.

Tsunoda: 5

Yuki Tsunoda has failed to impress at VCARB in recent weeks. In qualifying, the Japanese driver was narrowly faster than Ricciardo, but in the race he was nowhere to be seen.

Sargeant: 5

Logan Sargeant drove in a very familiar spot for him: at the back of the grid. In qualifying and the race, the American was again unable to make a fist.
