18-year-old Kacper Sztuka joined Red Bull's junior programme last November. However, this did not last long for the Formula 3 driver. Last Sunday, the Pole gave a statement on his own X-account.

Red Bull junior loses contract at Red Bull after six months

After about six months, the contract at Red Bull has already been dissolved for Sztuka. In his reaction, he briefly discusses why this has happened. ''I would like to share with you an update on my development and further performance in Formula 3 this season. In recent weeks, the contract with Red Bull's junior programme was terminated at the initiative of a partner. By the time the partnership ended, my start, my performance in the team and the progress I had made were positively evaluated by everyone who worked directly with me. Many thanks to everyone involved in the project, which I have been a part of since November 2023.''

''The above decision does not affect the appreciation of the MP Motorsport team and our plans,'' the 18-year-old continued on X. ''In the 2024 season, with the support of my sponsors, I want to participate in all the remaining rounds of the FIA Formula 3 championship and continue to develop as a driver, both on and off the track. My determination to be the fastest, win and one day race against the best drivers in the world remains the same. Thank you for all the messages of support. We are now entering the final phase of preparation for the Barcelona race. See you at the circuit!''

Sztuka is not having a strong season so far. In his first season in Formula 3, he has scored very few points. Only in the sprint race in Imola did he finish fifth. He will continue the F3 season with Dutch MP Motorsport. Red Bull itself has not reported anything about the dissolution of the contract.
