Perez gets Red Bull huge fine and grid penalty himself
Sergio Perez has caused his team further problems with his crash in the Canadian Grand Prix. Indeed, continuing to drive after his crash with a broken rear wing is costing the team a hefty sum and Perez is collecting a grid penalty himself.
Sergio Perez collided hard with the wall at the end of the Canadian Grand Prix. The Mexican continued his way to the pit lane, but did so with a half-broken rear wing. The stewards investigated the incident and found both parties guilty.
Red Bull Racing informed the FIA that it asked the driver to come to the pits, for which Red Bull will be fined a hefty €25,000. Yet Perez also does not get away with the incident. He will receive a grid penalty of three spots for the next GP he competes in.
