List of celebrities set to attend the 2024 Miami Grand Prix
Just like most Grands Prix on the calendar, the Miami Grand Prix will have a star-studded line-up of celebrities present in the paddock. The list includes famous singer Taylor Swift, who won Grammy's Album of the Year in 2024. After taking the NFL and the Chiefs Kingdom by storm thanks to his relationship with NFL superstar Travis Kelce, the pair will both be present in Miami.
Why will Taylor Swift attend the Miami Grand Prix?
Swift is in a relationship with NFL star tight end Travis Kelce, who has a financial interest in Formula One. The Kansas City Chiefs player is one of the leading investors of Otro Capital, which is the group that invested in Alpine. The pair were first tipped to be dating after rumours about her dating Fernando Alonso quieted down, and since then, she has appeared with Kelce publicly.
In the NFL, Taylor Swift frequently appeared during games, which proved to be divisive among the fans of the sport, and it is something that can be expected in F1 too. While some point to the positive side of it, being increased revenues and fathers bonding with their daughters over the sport thanks to Swift, on the other hand, many fans were bothered by the singer constantly showing up after every significant play made by the Chiefs.
Travis Kelce's teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes will also be present at the Grand Prix. Mahomes is another leading investor of Otro Capital, and arguably the best American Football player at the moment, but his family members are also present in controversies. Mahomes' wife and now Swift's good friend Brittany Mahomes will also travel, so the four of them will watch the race together.
It will not be the first time Swift will attend a Grand Prix weekend. Back in 2016, she performed at the Circuit of the American during the US Grand Prix.
Other celebrities to attend
There are many predictions about who will and won't be present at Miami. Last year, the Williams sisters, Elon Musk and David Beckham all made appearances in Miami.
So far, only the artists who are scheduled to be present are known. Grammy winner Marc Anthony will sing the national anthem ahead of the race, while Kaytranada has been named as the podium performer. The list of performers also includes Steve Aoki, Ed Sheeran, Kaskade, Don Omar, and John Summit.
On Wednesday, a talk will be held with famous singer Camila Cabello and F1 Academy director Susie Wolff.
