Christian Horner was acquitted by an independent lawyer after allegations of inappropriate behaviour, but the woman in question did not resign herself to that ruling and appealed. The Sun writes this week that the new investigation looks set to be completed within a month. Whether a public verdict in the case will then actually follow immediately afterwards is not known.

The woman who accused the 50-year-old team boss of this wants to return to Red Bull Racing herself (she is currently suspended with full pay) and seems intent on initiating Horner's resignation.

The English tabloid reported that a re-investigation into what transpired is now underway. The woman in question is said to be hopeful that she will now be vindicated. The new internal investigation is expected to last until mid-May.

Woman in question only recently questioned

"The KC leading the appeal process had hoped to interview her sooner, but there was an unavoidable delay," the source stated. "A lot of work has gone into the appeal already. But her evidence will obviously form a substantial part of the new investigation. It's important to get it right."

It is not ruled out that the investigation's leaders may want to talk to Horner again after hearing what the woman had to say. "It is possible Christian may be asked further questions in light of anything new she has to say. It is possible Christian may be asked further questions in light of anything new she has to say," he said.
