This is what Wolff has to say after his crash at the Imola circuit
Toto Wolff caused a stir by crashing at the Imola circuit. The Mercedes team principal was driving a Mercedes AMG GT3 and hit the wall. The Austrian was uninjured.
After the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, Wolff flew to Italy for a day of driving at the Imola circuit. Driving the Mercedes car of Marco Antonelli, the father of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Wolff did some laps and hit the wall. It was still damp in some parts of the track and as a result, Wolff went into the barrier.
Wolff makes slide at Imola
''Me driving skills are not ideal at the moment. During the test at Imola, I had a problem with the 'traction control' and hit the wall after two laps,'' Wolff stated to OE24. The team boss does report that he is otherwise doing well. He also got into action after his crash.
After a day at school, Mercedes talent Andrea Kimi Antonelli also joined in for some laps on the track. Antonelli is working towards an F1 debut, but needs to prove himself in Formula 2 first. In Jeddah, the Italian finished sixth twice for the Prema Racing team in F2.
