Is Red Bull Racing falling apart after all the turmoil? Marko takes it into account
After Thursday's press conference - in which Christian Horner was put through his paces - Red Bull Racing had hoped that all turmoil within the team was a thing of the past. That may just be a hope, especially now that the woman who accused Christian Horner of inappropriate behaviour has been suspended. Meanwhile, a new chapter in the whole saga seems to have started.
Helmut Marko isn't saying the saga has finished. Marko believes that the Austrian team will fall apart and he will be sidelined. "Theoretically, there is a possibility. But it is such a complex issue. We want to find peace in the team and have the focus on this world championship. That will be difficult enough," the external consultant told Austrian broadcaster ORF.
Honda wants answers from Red Bull
After the Austrian spoke these words, it quickly trickled out that Marko had been instructed by Red Bull not to talk to the media any more - at least not about this matter. Moreover, an investigation would be carried out as Marko is suspected of having leaked sensitive info about Horner to the media.
Incidentally, ORF reports that Honda are wanting answers as well. The engine supplier, following Ford's lead earlier, are not be happy with Red Bull's transparency towards their partner. Meanwhile, the woman accusing Horner is said to have gone to the police and filed a report against the British team boss.
