Verstappen over sprint shootout Brazilian Grand Prix
4 November 2023 at 11:38

It was an impressive picture: a big storm raged across Interlagos during qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix. On Saturday, the sprint shootout and sprint race are scheduled. Max Verstappen does not yet know if he can set a faster time for the sprint shootout in dry conditions.

Verstappen managed to put his RB19 on pole for Sunday's race, almost three-tenths ahead of number two Charles Leclerc. Only faster times were set in Q2: Nico Hulkenberg's time in Q2 would have put him on pole for the race, showing that the changing temperatures did cause different times.

How fast will Verstappen be during the sprint shootout in Brazil?

So for the sprint shootout, it is guesswork how much faster the car will be. "I don't know. It depends on the wind direction as well, what we get tomorrow. But yeah, I think it will be close again. So we'll see," Verstappen said.
