"I've never experienced anything like that" proclaimed Leclerc
Charles Leclerc managed to wrangle his Ferrari into P2 today at Interlagos. The Ferrari driver put in a lap when it mattered as it was a race against the rain in Brazil as Q3 was brought to an early end by some of the heaviest downpours the driver's have ever seen.
Leclerc was shocked by the conditions
"It works well for us." proclaimed Leclerc before stating that "In my whole career, I've never experienced anything like that. From turn 4 onwards, there was no rain, but the car was extremely difficult to drive."
The Monegasque wasn't confident in his lap time at all "I thought about coming in at the end of the lap then it was P2 so a good surprise. A weird one but I'm happy to be on the front row. It's always difficult [to make the choice], but it was right and we did everything we wanted to do." Just like this weekend so far Sunday now should have a few suprises "I don't know about the race, with the sprint weekend there is always a question mark on race pace." concluded Leclerc.
