Remarkable! Is Red Bull Racing declaring the line-up for 2025 here?
Among all the positive Tweets about the Spa-Francorchamps circuit's contract extension with Formula 1, one Tweet rather stood out: that of Red Bull Racing. Here, it looks like the Austrian team's social media team is (accidentally) revealing its line-up for the 2025 season. And who do we see there next to Max Verstappen?
A lot has been said and written about it: what does Sergio Perez's future at Red Bull look like? The Mexican has an ongoing contract until the '24 season at the reigning world champion, but it is no secret that Red Bull is dissatisfied with his performance. A rumour that Perez will soon announce his retirement has since been debunked by the team. Whether Perez will also return to Red Bull after 2024 is highly uncertain.
Has the choice been made by Red Bull?
The team has never been tempted to make any concrete statements on the matter. The fact is, however, that Red Bull considers Daniel Ricciardo - who will race for sister team AlphaTauri next season - a very serious option. Team boss Christian Horner in particular is said to be an outspoken supporter of the Australian's return as Max Verstappen's teammate.
And now this Tweet: "Racing at the #BelgianGP until 2025? Sounds good." The attached picture shows Verstappen and Ricciardo, both in Red Bull Racing livery. A little hint perhaps for '25?
