Evans takes second pole of the year in Rome
Qualifying for the Formula E race in Rome is over. Jaguar went fast on Saturday and, with Mitch Evans and Sam Bird, ensured they occupied the entire front row on Sunday.
Jaguar claims front row starting position in Rome
It was Evans who grabbed pole position and was a whopping two seconds faster than teammate Bird. Evans was already the fastest man on track in the second free practice session and was able to carry his fast times into the Saturday session for pole position quite effortlessly.
Championship leader Jake Dennis made it to the duels but could not get through the quarter finals. The Avalanche Andretti Briton will start the race from P7. He said het didn't feel quite at one with the car in qualifying. The top five after Evans and Bird consists of Sacha Fenestraz on P3, Sebastien Buemi on P4, and in fifth Rene Rast.
