Perez points out sore spot: 'If we sort that out, we'll be fine'
Despite Sergio Perez's rather disappointing performance, the Mexican is not giving up yet. The driver failed to make Q3 last qualifying for the fifth time in a row and had to start from 15th place during the race. Perez himself does have an explanation for his performance.
Perez thinks he can turn the tide
"I think it's with my driving, you know, how I'm approaching the Saturdays. How we're doing it as a team. We just have to figure out, I mean, the amount of detail. I mean, for example, the last qualifyings that I've had, they've been on changeable conditions, and it's where a lot of detail comes into play. So I'm not too concerned, you know, I think we had a great Friday in terms of pace and we just have to sort out the qualifying and we'll be fine," Perez concluded.
"We're making a lot of progress, you know, because the pace is there on Sundays, but it's just the whole weekend overall, you know, we've had a few bad weekends. But at the end of the day, it only matters when we finish in Abu Dhabi, you know, so it's a long season still and I fully believe that I can get my season back on track," Perez told GPblog among other media.
