'Inspiration' Binotto gets backing: 'Will always be grateful'
- GPblog.com
Mattia Binotto's departure is affecting several people within Formula 1. Among other things, the team boss played an important role in Antonio Giovinazzi's life, leading the Italian to decide to express his thanks to him on social media.
The former Alfa Romeo driver was Ferrari's reserve driver last season. Giovinazzi therefore experienced Binotto up close this calendar year and saw how hard his compatriot worked for the team. He can therefore do nothing but thank the team boss for his services.
"There are not many really important people in our lives," Giovinazzi began. "We are not always aware of them, but we have to take the right moments to thank them. Mattia, you have always been an inspiration and I will always be grateful."
