Peace was reportedly made between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez last week. Yet there is now another outcry following the incident in Brazil. This time it comes from Perez's father, Antonio Pérez Garibay.

Perez senior takes a swing at Verstappen now on the website Esto.com. According to the Mexican, Verstappen did not let his son pass him because he fears him. "Max is already feeling the pressure of Checo in his helmet today. He has never had an equal partner, the others were much more inferior. Checo wins the races that Max doesn't win, the really difficult ones."

Satisfaction

Pérez Garibay bases his argument on the negative reaction the international press and Red Bull itself had to Max Verstappen. "I find it incredible that they defend him (Sergio), that is the biggest satisfaction," he said. Father Perez is also confident that Sergio will secure second place in the championship this weekend, and that Verstappen will help in the process. "He will give all the help because he is a professional with a big heart, but also a shark."

No doubt, Red Bull is not happy with Perez senior's words. Verstappen, too, will read the interview and feel amazed. Sergio Perez won in Monaco because - allegedly - he deliberately crashed his car during qualifying. This prevented Verstappen from improving his time.
