Russell watches out for Verstappen: 'Max and Red Bull will be fast here'

George Russell feels excellent after his victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Briton was on the top step of the podium for the first time in his career and that does the Mercedes talent good. Despite this, he notices that nothing changes about his experience in Formula 1, he told GPblog and others at the press conference.
"I am very proud of the achievement. Something I've worked my whole life towards," begins Russell. "It's what you dream of when you're a child and your years in Formula 1. Going to every race believing you can achieve it but recognising early in the weekend that it's not possible."
So that was not the case in Brazil, as he pulled off both Saturday's sprint race and Sunday's main race. "I still feel the same driver as I was this time a week ago. I think we will be going for the win," he pointed to the final race in Abu Dhabi.
Russell expected strong Red Bull in Abu Dhabi
However, this is not going to be easy for Mercedes. Although the German formation has meanwhile managed to fight its way among the top teams, Red Bull Racing still has an edge this season. Russell therefore expects the rival to be the favourite.
"Since Austin, the car has been going really well and better than we could've hoped for. Max and Red Bull will be fast here. The combination of the low speed corners and long straights will suit their car really well."
