Pitt, however, refused to conduct an interview with Brundle. The actor received a lot of criticism on social media for the rejection. Brundle himself also faced criticism, including from Will Buxton. The F1 presenter pointed out to the Briton that it is known to the media who does and does not want to be interviewed. On Twitter, Brundle reveals that he received a message from Pitt after the weekend.
"Got a note from Brad Pitt explaining what happened with our near miss on the Austin grid. Unnecessary, but nice of him. Absolutely nobody is obliged to talk to me on the grid, but as I endeavour to make 10/12 minutes of live and unscripted sports TV I’m obliged to at least ask.” Last year, Brundle was also rejected by rapper Megan Thee Stallion, a confrontation that went viral online.
