Last night's press conference held by Sergio Perez turned out to be more of a question time for fans and (Spanish speaking) press. Of course, his future in Formula 1 was also discussed.

Team mate of Verstappen

Officially there is still no clarity about who will become Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull Racing in 2021. Perez, Nico Hulkenberg or Alexander Albon. Red Bull has said that they will make a decision after the last race in Abu Dhabi.

During the press conference they asked if Verstappen is against the possible arrival of the Mexican on the team. "I don't know if Verstappen is against me coming," says the Racing Point driver. "In the end, every driver wants a teammate next to him who will push him to the limit. I don't see why that couldn't be me."

Plan B for 2021

Perez has put all his eggs in Red Bull's basket, but he also explained his plan b. In any case, he doesn't like a role as a reserve driver at first. "I'm not convinced that I want to go to all races for that," Perez says. "I won't be with my family for a year and then I won't race a single race.”
