If it's up to the Ferrari duo, Valtteri Bottas is Lewis Hamilton's only competitor this season. Toto Wolff and Hamilton expect Red Bull Racing to become even stronger as the season progresses. Mercedes dominated the first three races by winning three times.

Ferrari-duo is pretty sure

According to Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel it is unlikely that Hamilton won't be a champion this year. "I think (only) if Valtteri wins the championship", says Vettel to Reuters news agency.

"I think Lewis is obviously the main contender. The only one that could probably stop him doing that is Valtteri", added Leclerc to his teammate. Hamilton is currently first in the championship with a total of 63 points. His teammate Bottas is currently second with 58 points.

Mercedes against Red Bull Racing

Mercedes team boss Wolff himself says the championship hasn't been won yet: "I’m not sure I’m seeing the competition fall apart. We can see that Red Bull was struggling all through the weekend and then they had a pretty decent race car. It’s 30 points after three races that we have with Lewis to Max. If you have one DNF the gap is gone."

Hamilton also still expects a challenge on the part of Red Bull: "I think the Red Bulls have been doing a great job and I’m sure at some stage they’re going to make some improvements as we get into the season. I’m hopeful we will still find some challenges up ahead."
