It's time for qualifying for the United States Grand Prix! Ferrari have taken every pole position since the summer break, but they haven't topped a practice session at the Circuit of the Americas and Charles Leclerc suffered engine issues in FP3. (Liveblog below)

Max Verstappen was the quickest driver in final practice, ahead of Sebastian Vettel and McLaren's Lando Norris in third, a surprise result for the teenager.

The COTA track is one of the drivers' favourites, with the flowing first sector combined with the technical aspects of sector three giving a balanced feel to the circuit. However, this year there have been complaints over the bumpiness of the track.

Drivers will have to be careful at turn 19, with stewards set to chalk off any lap times where drivers run wide at the corner, with Vettel a victim of this in FP3.

Lewis Hamilton will be looking for a solid session to give himself an opportunity to take the title, with the Brit needing only eighth place to take his sixth world title.
