McLaren team boss is very curious to see if the upgrades the team brings to Barcelona will work. Lando Norris is also ready for the GP weekend in Spain after a disappointing weekend in Miami and hopes to get back on track.

Norris went home with zero points from Miami. The Briton collided hard with AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly. Norris is no less than 24 points ahead of his teammate Daniel Ricciardo with 35 points in the standings, but is not satisfied with the season so far. In Spain, the driver hopes to pick up where he left off and continue his journey to the front.

Norris and Ricciardo look ahead

In a statement on the McLaren website Norris said, "I'm looking forward to getting back to Europe and racing in Barcelona this weekend. I've put the failure in Miami behind me and am fully focused on the upcoming race. Miami showed that we still have a long way to go before we are consistently competing at the top again. It's important to stay optimistic in the meantime."

Teammate Daniel Ricciardo is obviously also hoping for a good result in Spain and hopes to take some inspiration from his good result on track in Barcelona last year. The Australian then finished on a nice P6 and kept the connection with Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz throughout the race.
